Los Angeles "Golden Classical Music Awards" International Competition is open to strings, piano, wind, chamber music and vocal disciplines, (piano, violin, viola, cello, double bass, guitar, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, saxophone, recorder, french horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba, piano duo, piano four-hands, mixed ensembles, female voice and male voice) of all nationalities and ages.


Participants are required to submit video or audio recording materials for the participation. Recording should be a fair representation of the contestants' abilities, but don't need to be of a professional quality.


AWARDS   

From 90 to 100: 1st prize (100/100: First Absolute Prize)

From 80 to 89: 2nd prize

From 70 to 79: 3rd prize


The winners' concert will take place at Walt Disney Concert Hall, BP Hall in July 2025.


If for any reason you are unable to attend and perform at the Awards Ceremony we will send the certificate by post.


1st, 2nd and 3rd winners will receive a certificate by mail.


JUDGES

A panel of judges evaluates and punctuates the video material submitted, and the final  selections of winners is based solely on the same recordings submitted. Judges are independent, and their students are not allowed to play at the competition.


HOW TO APPLY?

To apply for the competition participants must submit:

(the artist will retain 100% of the recording rights)


Application fee: 

  • Soloist $200
  • Duo and Ensembles $150 (each musician) 

APPLICATION DEADLINE

Application Deadline is on Monday, May 1, 2025 at 24:00h.


Winners will be announced on our website on Friday, May 23, 2025.


RULES

Multiple winners can be chosen in each of the following age groups:


REPERTOIRE

Classical repertoire (Baroque, Classical, Romantic or Contemporary periods). 

Any interpretations of the classical repertoire are acceptable.


STRINGS, PIANO, WIND AND VOCAL DISCIPLINES   (multiple winners can be chosen in each of the following age groups):
CATEGORY AGE REPERTOIRE REQUIREMENTS TIME LIMIT
Young Musician 8 years old and younger 1, 2 or 3 recordings (any classical music period) 5 minutes approx.
Junior 9 - 12 years old 1, 2 or 3 recordings (any classical music period) 5 minutes approx.
Intermediate 13 - 15 years old 1, 2 or 3 recordings (any classical music period) 6 minutes approx.
Advanced 16 - 18 years old 1, 2 or 3 recordings (any classical music period) 6 minutes approx.
Senior 19 years old and open 1, 2 or 3 recordings (any classical music period) 10 minutes approx.
CHAMBER MUSIC (DUO AND ENSEMBLES) (multiple winners can be chosen in each of the following age groups):
CATEGORY AGE REPERTOIRE REQUIREMENTS TIME LIMIT
Group A Under 12 years old 1, 2 or 3 recordings (any classical music period) 5 minutes approx.
Group B 13 - 18 years old 1, 2 or 3 recordings (any classical music period) 5 minutes approx.
Group C 19 years old and older (no age limit) 1, 2 or 3 recordings (any classical music period) 10 minutes approx.
GENERAL RULES
I. Incomplete applications including failure to pay fees will result in disqualification.
 
II. The material provided will not be returned, and the inscription fee is not refundable.

III. The judges' decision is final and unappealable. The comments and punctuation of the jury will not be provided.


WINNERS RECITAL INFORMATION
I. All participants are responsible for their own expenses (travel, housing accommodations etc.).

II. During the Winners Concert, participants waive all rights to television broadcasting remuneration. And no financial remuneration for their performance. And authorize the organization of the competition to use winner's image for any publicity activity related to the competition.

III. The competition is not responsible for any damage or theft.

IV. Children under 18 years old will be the responsibility of their parents or legal guardians. 
And must be supervised all the time by their parents or legal guardians.

V. "Golden Classical Music Awards" International Competition reserves the right to make any changes in the rules, schedule and other information related to the competition.
